These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sage, a mobile application for people navigating perimenopause and menopause. By creating an account or using Sage, you agree to these Terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
Sage is operated by Shashank Shekhar Vats, an individual developer ("we", "us", "Sage"). You can reach us at sagewellness.app@gmail.com.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Sage. By using Sage, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. Sign in is available via email, Apple, or Google. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly. If you sign in with different methods using the same verified email, they may be linked to a single account.
Sage provides self-tracking tools, general information, insights based on the data you enter, and an AI assistant. Sage does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a medical device. Nothing in the app — including insights, reports, predictions, or responses from the AI assistant — is a substitute for professional medical advice. The AI assistant can be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied upon for medical decisions.
Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified healthcare provider with any questions you have about a medical condition, symptoms, or treatment, and never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you have read or received in Sage. Sage is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and is not a method of contraception or family planning. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or local emergency services immediately.
You are responsible for any decisions you make based on your use of Sage, and you use the app's information and insights at your own discretion and risk.

The data and content you enter remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate and provide Sage to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter.
Sage, including its name, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding. You may use Sage only as permitted here.
We work to keep Sage available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update the app over time. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid disrupting your access to your own data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sage is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app, its insights, or the AI assistant will be accurate, complete, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Sage. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Sage or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars (USD 50). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Sage is a wellness and informational tool. You acknowledge that health and wellness decisions are personal and that you assume full responsibility for how you use the app and any actions you take based on it. You use Sage voluntarily and at your own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sage and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party. This does not apply to matters arising from our own wrongdoing or that cannot be disclaimed under applicable law, and does not diminish any mandatory consumer rights you have.
You may stop using Sage and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that could harm other users or the service. You can export your data before deleting your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country in which you live, or of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
If you have a concern or dispute, we ask that you first contact us at sagewellness.app@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally — most issues can be sorted out quickly this way. If we cannot resolve it, the dispute will be subject to the courts of India, except where applicable law entitles you to bring it elsewhere.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Sage after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
